This has got to be one of my best buys ever. Lol. Why? The bag is gorgeous, brand new and I just paid $1.99 for it! No its not priced $1.99 but the thrifter in me went on ‘thrift hunt’ mode. So how did I come upon this great deal?

Well, one my favorite places to hang out, browse and buy designer goodies at super discount prices is Modnique.com. I am totally in love with this site and I must say they are the best when it comes to Online Sample Sale Clubs/Private Shopping Sites/Member Shopping/Discount Club Shopping with International Shipping. Sure, there are other popular sites similar to Modnique but most of them don’t ship out internationally, so Modnique is on top of my list whenever I am on the hunt for designer goods. Anyway, I’ve been promoting Modnique on my other shopping site and recommending it to friends and what’s great about this is that everytime your invitees sign up for free and shop at Modnique you get store credits. Easy right? And I’ve been accumulating some credits for the past month and got to use it today when I saw this..

Koret Envelope Wristlet Clutch – its retail price at Koret Handbags is $58 and on other websites it usually sells like $65. It was on sale at Modnique for just $29!  Then I waited for a day till a ‘Make an Offer’ sign on the bag went up. {When this sign goes up, better grab the chance, coz it means you can haggle, haggle!} and I got it for just $25. Shipping from US to Phnom Penh was $11.99 (ugh!) but I didn’t care coz I had credits to use. Yay! In the end, I just paid $1.99 with a credit card since you also need to pay at least a dollar in order for the checkout to process.

Pretty, right? And definitely one I could use a lot. Now I’m just waiting for it to be shipped. I reckon I’ll have it early January, I know shipping during holidays is  a pain so I’m prepared to wait. After all, I just got it for a steal. Will be updating this space once I have it

Modnique always have a great variety of brands on sale and mind you, they are worth checking out everyday or at least subscribing to sale alerts. And from what I have seen they really do carry a consistently good inventory of handbags and shoes and accessories. Their shipping fee is also one of the most reasonable, if you buy items worth $99, you’ll be charged $9.99 for international shipping.

I think I’m just beginning to get into private shopping sites and I’m already loving it! Now I’m on the lookout for sample sites selling kids and mommy stuff, having yoyo toys on their inventory wouldn’t hurt. Sites like Zulily,Totsy, Mini Ideeli but one that offers international shipping at least.
