A few weeks ago, I blogged about one of the best bargains I scored online. The Koret Envelope Clutch Bag I bought from Modnique.com for just $1.99. How did I get it for such a low price? Well, Modnique has a tell a friend program where you earn credits by referring new shoppers to them. I had some credits and that’s what I used to buy the clutch bag. The bag in itself was hugely discounted, with a retail price $58, it was on sale at Modnique for only $29. I was still able to bargain the price down to $25 when the ‘Make an Offer’ sign went on the bag.  Then I just paid using my ‘credits’ + $1.99 (just so the transaction can go through..).

A great deal, right? You know, these programs like refer a friend may seem like a small thing but small things could add up to big savings. Everyone knows that every little cent counts and that’s how I operate as a thrifter.

The only thing I didn’t appreciate about it is the weeks long shipping process. Perhaps because I ordered during the holidays? And they also shipped by Fedex Intl Mail and the post said my package got lost along the way. Lol.

 

Anyway, I was soooo excited when it arrived. It was bigger than what I was expecting and has this really pricey feel to it. Like its an expensive thing!

 

 

This would be perfect for cocktail parties and evenings out.
